Hinder Video Codes

Hinder, as it is today was formed in September of 1999. Despite not having played many live shows, the five piece group consisting of Ian Ambron (drums), Matt McGough (guitar), Mike Bondiskey (guitar), Ken Vasoli (vocals), and Mike Ambron (bass) has quickly developed to become a great band. The group started when long time friends Matt and Ian decided to get something going. They had been practicing for many years together and decided it would be good to start something serious. The two had been practicing with a few different people during this time, but things just weren?t clicking. Later on, they had asked another good friend and guitar player Mike Bondiskey if he would consider playing bass. He agreed to give it a try so the three kept practicing and kept looking for some singers from the area. Ian had previously filled in a few shows for the band Smash Adams and talked to the guys about trying out Smash Adams lead singer Ken Vasoli. Ken agreed as well, and now the band was starting to shape up. The four piece kept practicing and tried some new stuff. Around this time, the opportunity to record with other local bands on a compilation arose. The nameless group went to record a song for the CD but they needed a name for the band so the 4 quickly decided on Hinder as a tentative name, but before long, the name stuck and they all grew to like it. The recorded track oDrift Awayo turned out well, but they all felt that Mike Bondiskey?s guitar talent should not go to waste. They decided to get Mike on second guitar, but now the hunt for a bass player had begun. Ian?s brother Mike Ambron had been toying around with guitar for a few years and so they asked him if he would like to join the band as bass player. Mike began practicing with the four and quickly stepped up to fill the void. After a few little shows had passed, the band had signed up to compete in the annual battle of the bands at Indiefest II. After taking first place over all 28 bands, they had won the grand prize of 16 hours recording time in the studio. This takes us to hinder as it is today.
